Second edition of Cosmetorium

cosmetorium held its second edition on October 3 and 4 at the Palau de Congressos de Fira de Barcelona in Montjuïc, bringing together a total of 1700 professionals from the cosmetics sector during the two days of the event.

The exhibitors area had the participation of 107 national and international companies that offered visitors the opportunity to learn about their products, latest innovations and services.

At the same time, a total of 36 commercial presentations were carried out within the Tech Focus program and 15 scientific conferences by experts that addressed current regulatory issues, trends, marketing, cosmetic science and technology. This year's scientific program also had the special participation of experts from the Portuguese Society of Cosmetology Sciences.

Within the framework of the fair, the Cosmetorium Awards, which in its first edition were divided into two categories: Prize for Innovation and Prize for Sustainability. The Innovation Award went to the exhibiting company Symrise for SymBrightTM, a natural active that protects the skin from the formation of dark spots induced by the exposome. Amita Health Care Ibérica was the winner of the Innovation Award thanks to its Celus-BI® Light Ester, a biodegradable emollient agent, with low environmental impact and from renewable European crops.

Cosmetorium, devised by the Spanish Society of Cosmetic Chemicals (SEQC) and jointly organized by Step Exhibitions, it is consolidated as well as a reference forum on formulation, manufacture and distribution of productos cosméticos in Spain. Its third edition will take place on September 26 and 27, 2018 in the same venue and foresees an increase in the exhibition area.
