Silgan Holdings Inc., a leading provider of rigid packaging for consumer goods, has completed the acquisition of the dispensing systems business West Rock Company.
WestRock Company is a leading global company in sprays, sprayers and closures advanced technical design. It supplies consumer goods brand companies in the beauty, health and home markets. It operates a global network of 13 plants in North America, Europe, South America and Asia, and generated sales of approximately $ 570 million in 2016.
The purchase price for this acquisition was $ 1,025 billion, subject to the adjustments stipulated in the purchase agreement.
Silgan is a leading provider of rigid packaging for consumer goods with annual net sales of about $ 3,6 billion in 2016. It operates 100 factories in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. The company is a leading provider of metal packaging in North America and Europe for food products, as well as dispensing systems and plastic and metal closures for food, beverage, healthcare, beauty, garden and household products. In addition, the company has a leading position as a supplier of plastic packaging for non-perishable food products and personal care products in North America.
