Smurfit Kappa, from the corrugated paper and cardboard packaging sector, has developed for one of its clients a punnet for grapes that is resistant, sustainable -recyclable and biodegradable-, but which in turn is resistant to the supply chain, attractive and improves the image customer's brand on the shelf.

Until now, this client presented their product in non-biodegradable packaging that revealed the content, but did not show their brand image and damaged the environment. Aware of the problem that this type of packaging represents for the planet, after analyzing their requirements, they presented a solution made of corrugated cardboard that met all its requirements for sustainability, resistance and innovation.

Raul Andre, General Manager of Smurfit Kappa Celpack, assured that “after listening to the problems and the main customer requirements in terms of sustainability and image, we designed a solution with a simple and pleasant appearance and made of white corrugated cardboard to be able to capture your brand image in color flexographic printing. Their degree of satisfaction is very high, which has led us to produce a large quantity of these punnets for grapes ”.
