Smurfit Kappa presents new packaging solutions for the commercialization of figs

April 29th 2019

Smurfit Kappa, from the corrugated paper and cardboard packaging sector, has designed a new packaging solution to end the environmental problems caused by the use of plastic trays for the commercialization of Indian figs. The new solution is made of 100% recyclable, renewable and biodegradable corrugated cardboard and allows drastically reducing the environmental footprint.

The new solution also allows a greater exposure of the brand that allows highlighting aspects such as the designation of origin of the products, distinguishing itself on the shelf and differentiating itself from the competition.

The new Smurfit Kappa packaging respects food safety and hygiene as much as possible, since, being produced on a paper basis, they transmit less bacterial contamination than other materials and are completely recycled, instead of being cleaned for reuse.
