Smurfit Westrock plc has begun preferential trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) with the ticker “SW”, after having completed on July 5, 2024 the already announced merger between Smurfit Kappa and WestRock. The company will also be listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) under the ticker “SWR”.
Smurfit Westrock, with a presence in 40 countries and with the experience of more than 100.000 employees, offers its customers a complete range of recyclable and renewable packaging solutions.

Smurfit Kappa acquires a Bag-in-Box factory in Bulgaria
Smurfit Kappa has announced the signing of an agreement to acquire Artemis Ltd., a Bag-in-Box factory located in Shumen, Bulgaria.
Artemis is dedicated to the production of packaging for food and beverages, as well as the manufacture of Bag-in-Box bags, films and wine stoppers. Artemis will be integrated into the European network of Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box.
This acquisition will allow Smurfit Kappa to increase its presence and customer base in Eastern Europe, as well as expand its product portfolio and innovation capabilities in the bag-in-box sector.
