SolarProfit carries out a photovoltaic installation for Kern Pharma in Terrassa

Kern Pharma

Company photovoltaic solar energy SolarProfit has installed 2.083 solar panels at the headquarters of the pharmaceutical laboratory Kern Pharma in Terrassa (Barcelona), in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with which the company is aligned.

With this project, Kern Pharma prevents the annual emission of more than 450 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere, which would be equivalent to what some 2.280 trees absorb in about 30 years of life. The installation of the more than 2.000 panels of 470 Wp, of Bifacial Heterojunction technology (HJT), has been carried out by combining the placement of panels coplanar to the roof with self-supporting east-west and south structures. In this way, the solar panels have been integrated into the building, without affecting its design or architecture.

Thanks to this photovoltaic installation, Kern Pharma generates 1.306,59 MWh of energy per year, which represents approximately 10% of the electricity consumption of its headquarters in Terrassa. Likewise, the installed solar panels allow alleviating excess power, producing energy at peak hours.
