Start-up Grounded partners with SIG for its plant-based protein shakes

16th September 2020

The London company Grounded has been associated with SIG to make its 100% natural range of plant-based protein shakes.

Grounded contacted SIG to ask for collaboration in the preparation of their shakes with cocoa and vegetable proteins; Thus, it had the capabilities of SIG's combiLab, as well as the support of Sigcubator, GIS's accelerator program for start-ups with innovative product concepts. As part of the process, the solution for the packaging of vegetable protein shakes was also found: the combined me 500 ml, the cardboard bottle from SIG, which is made primarily from renewable cardboard.

gabriel bean, CEO of Grounded states: “Just one small idea can change an entire industry and we identified a gap in the market for a natural and plant-based shake, without compromising on natural ingredients and packaging. We spent more than 6 months looking for the right packaging to fit our values, and we found the perfect fit in the SIG combidome. Its history of sustainability and its unique shape make it the perfect choice for our range. Beyond packaging, the team and people at SIG were equally aligned with the values, and we couldn't have found a better partnership to launch this product. They supported us every step of the way, from our first contact with their UK team, to their exceptional combiLab operation in Germany. We look forward to continuing our association here with such professionals in their field. ”

SIG's Grounded Vegetable Protein Shakes in Combidome 500ml are available online at www.grounded.co.uk and in Selfridges, London.
