An elegant box of chocolates inspired by the Bermuda Triangle, designed by the students of the Beuth University of Berlin, has been the winner of the audience award in the design contest Recreate Packaging 2016 by Stora Enso.
Made with cardboard renewable, the dark blue box with gold accents received 2.416 votes on the contest website. In total, 12.365 people gave their vote on the contest website www.recreatepackaging.com.
In turn, eleven designers in the student category and five in the professional category reached the final round of the jury's evaluation to compete for the awards to be presented in New York in May 2016.
Audience award winners employed ensocoat, Stora Enso's number one packaging board, to achieve a tactile surface and functional structure and also include a slot for a greeting or business card.
The total number of entries for the 2016 Recreate Packaging contest was 157. The results will be announced by Stora Enso coinciding with the Luxe Pack New York fair on May 11, 2016.
