Storopack presents a paper made of 50% grass fibers

May 25th 2020

PAPERplus Classic Grass it's a new kind of paper storage pack composed in a 50% grass, a renewable raw material, and its production consumes less water and energy than conventional varieties.

PAPERplus Classic Grass has the same packaging characteristics as other types of Storopack paper and is ideal for filling gaps and packaging products for transport weighing between 5 and 50 kilograms.

The grass in PAPERplus Classic Grass comes from the Swabian Jura region, the area around the Metzingen and Lenningen paper mills in Germany, and is locally dried before being processed into packaging material. Grass grows back faster than wood and requires fewer resources during processing.

When producing the paper, each metric ton of grass fibers requires only a fraction of the total water needed for the same amount of wood fibers, as well as less energy. To produce PAPERplus Classic Grass, Storopack also dispenses with the use of process chemicals.

PAPERplus Classic Grass paper is available worldwide in rolls of 280 meters and in a width of 600 millimeters.
