Ulma Packaging develops LeafMap ™

Ulma Packaging LeafMap ™ is a new solution of sustainable packaging for sliced ​​products which reduces the use of plastic materials.

The solution, in which the structural plastic of the container is replaced by a structure of paper fiber, has been designed to make containers with controlled atmosphere (MAP), guaranteeing totally hygienic conditions and preserving the properties of packaged food until the moment of opening and consumption.

The support used by this packaging is based on flat cardboard trays, 100% recyclable allowing reduce the use of plastic up to 80%. These trays allow two-sided printing, which gives the container wide possibilities of visual communication.

To make it more sustainable and facilitate recycling processes, the packaging has functionalities that facilitate both the opening and the separation of the materials that compose it.

Ulma Packaging also has product loading systems on the trays.
