Sun European Partners, LLP, has announced that one of its affiliates has entered into exclusive negotiations to sell Albéa, a world leader in the PCB packaging industry, to the Funds advised by PAI Partners. The proposed transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
Albéa is one of the world's leading packaging companies, offering a wide range of solutions for the makeup, fragrance, skincare, personal care and oral markets. The company's product portfolio includes plastic and laminated tubes, masks, lipsticks, lip gloss, compacts, plastic closures and shells, aerosol caps, jars, lids, cosmetic accessories, bags, and promotional items.
Albéa, based in Paris, has 38 manufacturing plants in Europe, America and Asia. Albéa was acquired by a subsidiary of Sun European Partners in 2010. Operational excellence has seen the company grow and was complemented by the completion and successful integration of numerous acquisitions, including Betts, Eyelematic, Tex and Rexam's PC business, transforming to Albéa in a world leading packaging company.
