El Verallia Glass and Creation Contest already has winners. “Trama”, by María Torres is the title of the project that won the first prize, worth € 2.500. The second prize, valued at € 1.300, went to “La O liva”, by Gloria Díaz, Alicia Alonso and Laura Estévez. "Olives", by Mario Aguirre has deserved the third prize, endowed with € 900.

under the motto "From the olive tree to the glass", The fourth Spanish edition has awarded the most original ideas of the students of design from some of the main schools in the country, to which it was proposed to create a different container for oil, olives, vinegar or pickles. A total of 80 projects have been submitted to the contest, which each year grows in acceptance and participation.

The designer Albert Puigdemont, CEO of the Puigdemont Roca studio, has led the jury in this edition along with fourteen other professionals related to the world of glass for food and beverages.

Trama, by María Torres, from Engineering in Industrial Design and Product Development of the School of Industrial Engineering (EII) of the University of Valladolid, is the first prize-winning project, endowed with € 2.500. In addition, María Torres has also won the Facebook award, with 740 votes.

A container inspired by the flower of the olive tree at its budding moment. Its circular shape allows the user to hold the bottle without difficulty and it has a nozzle designed to be used as an oil can.

The second prize, valued at € 1.300, went to La O liva, by Gloria Díaz, Alicia Alonso and Laura Estévez from Engineering in Industrial Design and Product Development of the School of Industrial Engineering (EII) of the University of Valladolid. A pack consisting of two containers: one for olives with a capacity of 150 ml, and the other for olive oil of 750 ml. On the surface of both there are several holes, designed to facilitate the grip of the container.

Olives, by Mario Aguirre from the Escola d'Art i Superior de Disseny de València (EASD-Valencia) has won the third prize, worth € 900. A container designed to contain and preserve olives, pickles or vinegars, the advantage of which is that its content can be eaten comfortably as it incorporates small forks to be used anywhere, and that it is easily reusable.

For the first time, the winner will compete in a grand international final that will take place on November 30 in Paris, along with the best designs from the different countries in which Verallia carries out this contest. The winner may opt for a cash prize or a training stage in the company.

The initiative gives participants the opportunity to have their project developed by Veralia.
