XXI AIFEC Congress

More than 260 people have participated in the XXI AIFEC Congress held from the 23rd to the 26th of May in Sitges (Barcelona), which has had as its central theme the way to generate value in the companies of labels.
The professional program began on Friday, May 24th with a talk by Martin Betting, Director of Business Development at BST Eltromat International, who discussed Low Cost & High Quality Narrowband Inspection and Visualization and presented the benefits of the matrix video camera. of their printers. Jeroen Van Bauwel, Product Marketing Director of Xeikon spoke about the Impact of European regulations in the label industry and focused on the migration of inks in food applications. The consultant Juan Ferrer raised how the management of change should be carried out in the organizations. This year Manter turns 75 and Joan Josep Bertrand, a designer specializing in product identity, explained how to create a brand thanks to design and the importance of having the right paper in each case. The last presentation on Friday was given by the consultant Néstor Guerra, who spoke about Innovation and corporate entrepreneurship.
Saturday's session began with a presentation by Martin Van Waeyenberge, Global Marketing & Sales Manager at Mouvent. He spoke of the importance of automation to make work easier. He was followed by Miguel Ángel Beltrán, Director of Business Development at Dupont, who spoke about quality, productivity and sustainability. The following presentation dealt with the changes that our society is experiencing. It was offered by the journalist Marta García Aller and was titled The end of the world and of companies as we know them. The next two presentations were technical: first, Félix Prieto, General Director of the Impryma Group, spoke about the fundamentals of offset printing technology and its application to the field of self-adhesive labels. After him it was the turn of Jordi Giralt, Director of Strategic Accounts of Heidelberg, who explained why the company has decided to enter the digital market. The last presentation of the XXI AIFEC Congress focused on how to take advantage of social networks in the business world and was given by Álex López López, an expert in social selling. After his intervention, there was a discussion table.
