The Organizing Committee of Digicom, Digital Printing and Visual Communication Fair to be held September 29 to October 1, 2020 en Ifema, Feria de Madrid, has proposed to increase the exhibition space to be able to exceed 14.000 gross m2 and increase the number of visitors. One of the main novelties of the next edition is the space dedicated to promotional gifts, the result of the exclusive agreement with the two leading associations in the sector of promotional and advertising articles, Fyvar and Aimfap.
The agreement was made known to the press during a call in which the following took part: María José Sánchez, director of Digicom; Agustín Torres, co-director of Digicom; Gabriel Möese, president of Fyvar (Association of Manufacturers and Sellers of Promotional and Advertising Articles); Emilio Estellés, president of Aimfap (Association of Importers, Wholesalers and Manufacturers of Promotional Items); and Miguel Blázquez, Vice President of Digicom. Digicom will be located in Hall 4 of Ifema, which will be interconnected with Hall 2, where the promotional gift will be located.
The good experience of collaboration for many years between Ifema, Fyvar and Aimfap has been a decisive factor for the signing of this agreement. The more than 600 associates between the two associations are key to increasing the number of exhibitors and visitors to Digicom. In addition, numerous synergies are created between sectors already represented at the fair, such as digital printing, embroidery and the finishing industry.

At Digicom 2020, visitors and exhibitors will be able to enjoy the new Club VIP Lounge space, which will provide a bar and rest. There will also be a new Buyers Program that will bring reference customers closer to exhibitors at the fair, offering free hotel nights for said customers, and a new digital marketing strategy, which seeks to improve the promotion of the fair and its exhibitors through actions in social networks, marketing emails and the appearance in different influential media in the sector that help increase the online visibility of exhibitors, achieving more than 1,5 million hits.
This year there will also be the Emporia and Arca awards, which is convened by Verdicts, focused on ephemeral architecture, packaging and design.
For its part, Ifema articulates an important institutional campaign with advertising in the mainstream media. Ifema has made important changes to its facilities, such as the implementation of 5G connectivity in its pavilions, the assembly of a 228 m2 LED screen on the south door, an improvement in all the lighting in the pavilions and the announcement of expansion.
The good acceptance of the novelties and the change of dates has meant that more than 40% of the exhibition space was already reserved at the beginning of November. "We are very satisfied with our first edition and proof of this are the numerous reservations from the exhibitors," he says. Agustin Torres, co-director of Digicom.
In the last edition, Digicom 2019 got 4.518 exclusively professional visitors, 90 exhibitors and more than 300 brands. In the words of Maria Jose Sanchez, "That Digicom exclusively receives professional visitors allows the show to have a comfortable influx for personal treatment and enhances business opportunities in a conducive environment."
