50th edition of the ADG Laus Awards for Graphic Design and Visual Communication

The convocation of the A.D.G. Laus It is open for all works printed, published, broadcast, viewed online or edited during 2019 in the following categories: Graphic Design, Digital, Advertising, Audiovisual and Students. Projects can enroll in the ADG-FAD website from January 7 to February 10. The ADG Laus Awards for Graphic Design and Visual Communication They are awarded with the objective of recognizing excellence in graphic communication.
In this anniversary edition, the jury is made up of renowned national and international professionals from the sector such as Liza Enebeis (Studio Dumbar), Omar Sosa, Ena Cardenal de la Nuez, Aino Hantttu (Hanzo), Conor Cronin, Nacho Padilla, Ana Zelich, Marc Sancho (Querida), Alistair Webb (Made Thought), Carol Mompart, Albert Porta (Practical) or Anna Gasulla (GAS), among others.
The most outstanding novelty of this year affects the award Laus Contributes, which aims to make visible the contribution of design to society with projects that, through visual communication, have managed to have a positive social, economic or cultural impact. This award, traditionally awarded to any of the pieces presented in any category at the discretion of the jury, becomes a section for competition where professionals can register their projects based on the requirements of added social value. In addition, the money collected from these registrations will be donated to collaborate with the "Creativity at the beginning" project, an initiative developed by the Red Cross in collaboration with graphic design professionals, which uses creativity as a tool to transform the reality that surrounds it. to girls and boys at risk of exclusion.
One more year, the Board of Directors of ADG-FAD will grant the award Honor Laus to the professional trajectory and L aus Empresas y Entidades in recognition of those institutions that stand out for their long, fruitful and inspiring relationship with design.
The Achos! Studio, partner of ADG-FAD, has been selected this year to develop the ADG Laus 2020 awards campaign. The campaign, which humorously deals with “doping” in creativity, can be followed at through the social networks of ADG-FAD and the collaborating media of the campaign.
The Magabook ADG Laus 2020, the book that collects the award-winning works of this 50th edition, will be designed by fellow ADG-FAD partner Albert Romagosa, and will be unveiled at Nit ADG Laus.
In its 50th edition, since the first one held in 1964, ADG-FAD will honor all those who have passed through the Laus through different communication actions throughout the months, culminating in a Nit ADG Laus, the ceremony and party of delivery of the Laus trophies, which will take place in June during the renewed Barcelona Design Week.
In addition, the association has decided to rethink the materials that make up its iconic trophy designed by Tomás Vellvé in 1969 and take advantage of the anniversary to present a Laus trophy made of sustainable and environmentally friendly materials. The product design studio specialized in circular economy Oiko has been in charge of this reconceptualization.
This line of action will also affect diplomas and, especially, all the materials that are requested to be presented to the ADG Laus 2020, which must be 100% recyclable at the risk of being disqualified if not.
