Mondi launches IQ Extralight, an opaque paper for drug inserts

Worlds lanza IQ Extra Light. The new one opaque paper solution is produced in Mondi Neusiedler, Austria, and targets the premium uncoated segment on opaque paper for drug and cosmetic inserts, operating manuals, catalogs, directories or legal text applications.

Mondi's new paper solution has the FSC ™ certification and is optionally available as carbon neutral to help customers improve their CO2 balance. It is part of Green range, Mondi's umbrella brand for sustainable paper solutions, and is produced in accordance with the FSC ™ certification scheme, as well as EC regulation 1935/2004 on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food. IQ Extralight offers excellent printability, folding performance and is developed for both web and sheet offset printing. The new IQ Extralight paper is now available in folio and reels in 40, 45, 50 and 60 g / m² throughout Europe.

IQ Extralight offers high productivity print runs. The optimized folding performance of Mondi's new opaque paper further ensures trouble-free processing due to its folding properties and high stiffness, including a high luminescence factor for automatic scanning. IQ extralight's high opacity ensures readability, supporting automated quality control for its outstanding sheet formation.
