Verallia receives the platinum medal from EcoVadis

EcoVadis has awarded to Veralia the platinum medal. A distinction that places the glass manufacturer among the 1% of the 85.000 companies with the best scores in terms of social and environmental responsibility.

In two years, Verallia has gone from a score of 67 out of 100 to 75 out of 100, and, according to Laetitia Fabre, director of sustainability at Verallia, this evolution "encourages us to continue our efforts to achieve the ambitious goals we have set for ourselves and to continue transforming our company for the benefit of all our stakeholders."

To achieve this award, Verallia has been evaluated based on 21 issues grouped into 4 themes: Environment, Social and Human Rights, Ethics and Responsible Purchasing. Themes that form the core of the company's purpose "Reimagine glass to build a sustainable future."

Verallia calculates that by 2030 it will have reduced its emissions by 46% compared to 2019 and will reach a cullet use rate of 66%, that is, two-thirds of the material used to manufacture packaging will come from recycling.
