La Bobst Digital Inspection Table has been chosen as a winner in the category of Best Inspection System in the awards of the European Digital Press Association (EDP) 2019.
In its 13th year of publication, EDP Awards honored with the best technological developments in the world of digital printing, attending to various evaluation criteria such as effectiveness, quality and costs. On Wednesday May 15, Bobst collected his award at a ceremony held at the Messe Munich fairgrounds during the FESPA Global Print Expo 2019.
Introduced at the company's Competence 18 event in Switzerland last year, the Digital Inspection Table incorporates digital projection to check printed sheets and die cut sheets, while offering real-time visual representations to match product with digital proofs. . It also uses HD projectors to illuminate the product sample with images for quality control, allowing the operator to easily see if quality standards have been met or compromised. The results are compiled into a digital report that can be easily shared and distributed, even with brand owners.
The design file can also be projected onto the sheet to check and adjust the print registration, thus eliminating the need for overlays and print thumbnails and moving the process from paper to the digital world.
