Nestlé inaugurates the first packaging research institute in the food industry

Nestlé has officially inaugurated its Institute of Packaging Sciences, the first of its kind in the sector. The new institute brings the company closer to its goal of bringing functional, safe and environmentally friendly packaging solutions to market.

Nestlé CEO Mark Schneider said during the opening ceremony that “our vision is focused on a world in which none of our packaging ends up in landfills or garbage. To achieve this, we introduce reusable packaging solutions and pioneering materials for the environment. Additionally, we support the development of local recycling infrastructures to help shape a waste-free world. The Nestlé Institute for Packaging Sciences enables us to create robust sustainable packaging solutions for Nestlé products. ”
