To meet the needs of its glass packaging customers, Verallia , the European leader in the production of glass containers for food and beverages, will continue its investment plan in 2018. According to Paulo Pinto, Managing Director of Verallia Spain and Portugal, “with this new line, the Azuqueca de Henares plant will reach the same production levels it had with the two previous furnaces.” To achieve this, the company will invest €5 million in this food-specific factory.
In addition, the Zaragoza plant will reform its facilities and will be at the same level as the other recently renovated factories in Verallia. In Zaragoza it is planned to invest 20 million euros mainly to reform its furnace, increase flexibility and modernize the machines.
This decision has been favored by the positive balance of results that Verallia has obtained during its almost two years as a totally independent group.
