Record attendance at the V Congress of FESPA Spain

December 4th 2017

Under the motto "We work together for the future of Visual Communication printing", the Spanish Association of Screen Printing and Digital Printing Companies, FESPA Spaincelebrated his V Congress on November 28 in Madrid. The event was held at the Salesianos Atocha school with a welcome from Christian Duyackaerts, president of FESPA International; and Josep Tobella, who was one of the protagonists of the meeting since, after an extensive professional career, he has decided to retire.

The presence of the president of FESPA International and his presentation has been one of the great attractions of this meeting. Christian Duyackaerts spoke about trends within the visual communication industry, making special reference to pop-up type installations, which offer solutions to customers based on different needs; interior decoration, in which it is essential to be creative; personalization, a great opportunity that opens up thanks to digital printing; and collaboration with partners, which allows us to go further and carry out projects that, without help, would not be possible. After these first sessions, a business table - known as speedy meeting - was held in which members of the different links of the industry value chain, printers and service providers were contacted, so that they could meet and exchange contacts.

The overall winner of this year - which in addition to receiving the trophy will travel by FESPA Spain to FESPA Berlin, where it will participate in the FESPA Awards 2018 - has been the company KENDU, for its work "Beauty is in the interior", a design that combines images on textile with videos and background animations. It is a double-sided printing: the outside of the object printed on the visible side, the chassis of a car; and the interior of the object, the interior of the car, which can be seen when the lighting is activated.
