About us ADBioplastics has participated in the development of compostable single-dose containers for extra virgin olive oil together with a work team led by the company that produces and markets oils and dressings Andalusian whim, belonging to Borges International Group.

In the manufacture of these single-dose containers has been used 100% industrially compostable bioplastic PLA-Premium developed by ADBioplastics, which can be discarded in the organic container. This relevant innovation adds to the already consolidated sustainability strategy  from the Borges group, which works daily to reduce its environmental impact, and which has been possible thanks to the line of products TechnoBi, which consists of grades specifically designed for processing by cast and blown extrusion technologies. These degrees have the certificate OK Compost of the certifying entity TÜV Austria, which accredits that, under industrial conditions, the material reaches the stage ofdisintegration in a maximum of 3 months.

Also, the material is suitable for contact with food, in accordance with the applicable European legislation (FCM), which allows its use in applications de containers for food products, beverages, cosmetics and products pharmacists, among others.

Other and advantages of the material include suitability for requirements of the product to be packaged and packaging line, One excellent performance compared to virgin PLA in transformation processes thanks to its processability on conventional equipment, and the improvement substantial of the mechanical properties of virgin PLA, reaching good finishes and a optimum transparency.

ADBioplastics offers a solution for the packaging that allows compliance with sustainability goals national and European, which imply that by 2030 all packaging on the community market must be reusable or recyclable, including compostable, also known as organically recyclable, among the latter.
