José Ramón Benito, elected new president of ASPACK

Jose Ramon Benito has been elected new president of the Spanish Association of Cardboard Container Manufacturers, ASPACK, for the period 2020-2024. This has been ratified by the General Assembly of the association, meeting on Thursday, October 22, virtually, after the elections to renew the Board of Directors.

For more than 20 years, José Ramón Benito has presided over the Docuworld Group, a national benchmark in the packaging and labels industry that includes the companies Eman, Drimpak, NDE, Rever, Universal, Formsystem and Pharmaprospect. He also has extensive experience in the associative world: he chaired the National Association of Forms from 1995 to 2003; also the Association of Graphic Arts of Bizkaia from 1992 to 2008 and chairs the Iberian Association of Continuous Label Manufacturers, AIFEC, since 2015.

In 2016, José Ramón Benito was appointed vice president of ASPACK and now he takes over the presidency from Alejandro García, general director of Drimpak. "The strength of ASPACK is in the wide base of associates and in the Board of Directors," said José Ramón Benito. The least important thing is who is President, but rather that we continue working aligned with the mission, vision and values ​​of the association and make the entire sector grow ”.

The new ASPACK Board of Directors it will be made up of 11 people: in addition to José Ramón Benito, Josep María Berga, director of Alzamora Group, will be the first vice president and Anselmo Vilardebo, managing director at Seda Ibérica, second vice president. There will also be eight members: Alejandro García, director of Drimpak; Josep Lluis Ferrás, Regional Director at Saica Pack Barcelona; Txomin Echarri, CEO of DS Smith Packaging Pamplona; Ricard Balart, general manager of Gaez, of the Vallsgraphic Group; Mari Carmen Cerdá, CEO of Gráficas Beiko; Carlos Mora, director of Cartonajes Mora, José Miguel Méndez, general director of Vicusgraf Hinojosa Packaging and Heliodoro Vidal, director of Graphic Industries of ARTENVAS Packaging.
