recyclable sleeves

emsurthrough Innotech (Center for Technological Innovation), presents Ecoem-Sleeves, its new range of sustainable sleeve solutions (shrink sleeves), intended for the packaging of carbonated beverages, waters, juices, or drinkable yogurts.

Today, the sleeves are removed from the bottles in the washing process, thus avoiding contamination of the PET flakes needed for future use in the post-consumer recycling stream.

Within the Ecoem-Sleeves range, there are different types of sustainable solutions, among which stands out Ecoem- Full PET Sleeves, a new shrink sleeve solution based on the combination of films and washable inks, which aim to simplify the recycling process, avoiding any type of waste or contamination.

This new product line based on the principles of ecodesign is produced from the combination of PET-based films and washable inks, which can be mixed and recycled together with PET bottles, without clumping or interrupting the drying and decontamination process.

In addition, this product offers the possibility of being manufactured with post-consumer recycled content and is APR certified for washable inks, thus avoiding the discoloration of the flakes of recycled PET bottles.

Another of the outstanding products of this new family is Emfull, a polyolefin-based sleeve option which, due to their buoyancy properties, allow the label to be separated from the bottle directly in the washing phase of the recycling process

In the same range of products we find other solutions and different materials such as PETG, with post-consumer recycled content available and different types of finishes such as high gloss or matte, transparent and other differentiation effects such as holographic, iridescent pigments, gold and silver inks, etc.

Any other material to combine with the bottles is possible thanks to the option of microperforation, making the bottles also recyclable with the help of consumer interaction.
