La Grande Dame 2012 by Veuve Clicquot

Veuve Clicquot and the iconic Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama present a unique and colorful creation that celebrates the launch of the Maison's new vintage, La Grande Dame 2012. The original creation is Yayoi Kusama's vibrant tribute to «the big gimme» of Champagne, Madame Clicquot.

Yayoi Kusama has designed the case and bottle of La Grande Dame 2012 using its iconic symbols, flowers and polka dots. A joyous flower envelops the La Grande Dame bottle, and this same symbol of energy, a tribute to nature that both women cherish, also takes shape as a special object that elevates La Grande Dame cuvée in magnum.

Throughout the month of October this work can be seen in The English Court of Castellana in Madrid and purchase one of the limited edition bottles at a price of € 190.

Yayoi Kusama's name for his creation is 'My Heart That Blooms in The Darkness of The Nigh '. The opulent flower is an original creation that symbolizes life energy, love and the celebration of life. Each of the only 100 editions it is numbered.

The artist has applied her signature polka dot pattern reminiscent of the champagne bubbles that embody La Grande Dame 2012. Here, the creative universes of Yayoi Kusama and Veuve Clicquot intermingle in a bright, daring and optimistic collaboration.

With the generosity that characterizes Yayoi Kusama, as part of this original creation he created an original poem that conveys a sincere message of hope and optimism to the world.

La Grande Dame 2012 is Pinot Noir, the hallmark of the Veuve Clicquot style, enhanced by 10% Chardonnay from the Grands Crus de Avize Mesnil-Sur-Oger on the Côte des Blancs
