The recycling of plastics has been gaining prominence in recent years to become a key sector for the plastics industry. Aimplas, Technological Institute of Plastic, has organized for December 1 and 2 the first edition of its International Seminar on Plastics Recycling in a hybrid format that will allow access to sessions in person or via streaming.
Sponsored by Tomra, Coperion, Alser, Leistritz, Sogapol, Bravender, Gravipes, Eversia, Picvisa, Raorsa and Altero, the event will address the challenges and opportunities related to the management and recycling of plastic waste and will present initiatives that the industry is launching internationally.
Structured in six differentiated blocks, the seminar will address the importance of recycling plastics in a circular economy; the collection, selection and separation processes; mechanical and chemical recycling technologies; the challenges of recycling and to conclude, the aspects related to the legislation, regulations and certification of recycled plastic will be addressed.
About thirty professionals make up the seminar's conference program. These are specialists from research centers such as the University of Belgrade and Aimplas itself, organizations such as Cefic, Plastics Recyclers Europe, Plastics Europe, Cicloplast or the Spanish Association of Marine Garbage, as well as companies such as RIGK, Tomra, Picvisa, Bravender, Coperion, Leistriz, Sogapol, Altero, BYK, Repsol, Elix Polymers, Total Corbion, TPL, BASF, Keller & Heckman and Crowdhelix.
