AINIA reached 19,7 million revenues in 2022

AINIA closed the 2022 financial year with revenue growth close to 10% compared to the previous year, reaching 19,7 million euros. During this period, the technology center increased the activity of all its business units, for which it collaborated with 1.819 clients en 260 projects of innovation and made 111.000 analytical tests, 300 legal consultations food, 169 consumer studies and over 2.000 hours of training. In addition, during 2022 the number of partners has increased, reaching at the end of the year the figure of 753 associated companies.

An extensive program of activities has also been developed through 37 events attended by a total of 1.884 professionals of 954 companies. Likewise, webinars, seminars, conferences in hybrid and face-to-face format, the fifth edition of the International Meetingpack congress, and AINIA professionals have participated as guest speakers in face-to-face and virtual conferences. It is also worth noting the attendance at 7 fairs: Food (Barcelona), In Cosmetics (Paris), Vitafoods, Biofach (Nuremberg), Fruit Attraction (Madrid), Cosmetics 360 (Paris), Ecochemicals (Valencia).

All this, thanks to a team made up of 250 over professionals belonging to 25 different disciplines and with a high level of qualification.

For the general director of AINIA, Christina Del Campo, "2022 has been a special year for AINIA due to the commemoration of the 35th Anniversary of the center, and for its consolidation as an international benchmark center in its mission to provide technological solutions that boost the competitiveness of companies, through innovation in the agri-food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, chemical and packaging sectors»

«With our technological offer, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, we aspire to be, not only a leading organization in the field of innovation and technology, but also to be recognized for our social responsibility and for our leadership in the commitment to our environment", added Cristina Del Campo.

In this sense, it should be noted that the technology center obtained a return on social impact of 16,68 euros for each euro invested in 2021 in its activities, according to the SROI (Social Return of Investment) methodology, a method based on principles for measuring environmental, social and economic value.

New building for R+D+i

In terms of infrastructure, it is worth noting the start in 2022 of the construction project for the new building 4, a space that will serve to continue betting on cutting-edge equipment at the service of R+D+i, which has been qualified by the Ministry of Economy as a "Priority Investment Project of the Valencian Community", and which is expected to end in mid-2024.

In addition, new equipment has been purchased for various pilot plants and laboratories, in order to continue supporting companies in 5 major challenges: food for the future, food quality and safety, health and well-being, green transition and digital transformation.
