Bericap has acquired Bad Verschluss-Systeme GmbH, thus expanding its product portfolio to include aluminum closures.
Mala is a family business based in Bad Liebenstein, Thuringia. In 2020, it generated annual revenue of € 40 million. Both businesses complement each other: while Bericap focuses on the production and sale of plastic closures For the food, beverage and chemical industries, Mala specializes in rolled aluminum theft-proof (ROPP) closures and long lids for the wine and spirits market.
Mala has more than 200 employees at its Bad Liebenstein and Schmalkalden-Wernshausen plants and markets its closures globally.
