The Pentawards Awards Gala will be held at the Guggenheim Museum in New York

The awards ceremony pentawards will be held at the Guggenheim Museum in New York on September 6, 2018. Previous galas of this prestigious international competition dedicated to packaging design have taken place in cities such as Monaco, Shanghai, Paris, Barcelona, ​​Tokyo or London, which puts highlighted the global reach of the event.

Adam Ryan, Project Manager at The Pentawards, comments: “We are delighted that our 12th Gala Ceremony is being held at the world famous Guggenheim Museum in New York. The choice of the Guggenheim Museum as the venue for the gala shows the growth we have experienced in recent years, our great ambition for the Pentawards Awards and, of course, its prestige. The Guggenheim Museum will provide the perfect setting to honor the world's best designers and focus global attention on packaging design ”.

The 2017 gala ceremony received more than 300 attendees from the global packaging design community, and was represented by 27 countries. To attend the event, guests traveled from the US, UK, Peru, the Netherlands, South Korea, Belarus, Armenia, Sweden, Japan, Canada and Argentina.

The international jury is made up of 12 designers, Packaging Design Directors and Marketing Directors who are highly respected in the industry. This year, members of the jury include Mark van Iterson, Heineken's Global Design Director, and Clem Halpin, Turner Duckworth's Creative Director. Participants are divided into five main categories (Food, Beverages, Body, Luxury and Other markets), which in turn are divided into 55 subcategories.
