The challenge of the new packaging is to replace the usual polyethylene in cosmetic product tubes with biodegradable plastics, something complex if one takes into account the long life cycle, close to two and a half years, that beauty products have. against the gradual decomposition of biodegradable material.

The company, with the collaboration of the consortium formed by ainia technological center and AIMPLAS, as well as the container manufacturer Petroplast and the material manufacturer Ferro, is analyzing the relationship of different bioplastics with three types of cosmetic products. Petroplast will manufacture the container and Ferro will develop the appropriate mix of biodegradable materials.
