TESEM integrates the metallization and lacquering processes and increases its capabilities in plastic injection

March 5th 2014

Following its strategy of building a platform that offers integrated aluminum packaging solutions, TESEM has incorporated the metallization and lacquering processes and has substantially increased its capabilities in plastic injection and decorations. The integration of this new technology has materialized through the incorporation of the company Motecsa into the TESEM group, thus creating the new TESEM PLASTICS division.
Located in Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona), Motecsa has extensive experience in the manufacture and decoration of plastic packaging for perfumery and cosmetics and the pharmaceutical industry. Its processes include plastic injection, metallization, lacquering and various decoration and engraving techniques.
“Our goal is to develop and manufacture in-house all of the components for a new metal-based release. Currently the market demands that packaging suppliers have the maximum control of projects in which various materials are involved ”, says Albert Sala, General Director of the TESEM Group. "The creation of TESEM PLASTICS will also allow us to considerably expand our standard product catalog".
The new processes complement the other activities of the TESEM group: aluminum drawing and stamping, product development, anodization, finishes, decorations, engravings and assembly. All these processes take place in the group's six production plants that cover a total area of 27.000m2.
