Totalflex acquires a Comexi Offset CI8

December 22th 2020

comexi, specialist in solutions for the flexible packaging printing and converting industry, and Totalflex Packaging Industry, one of the largest flexible packaging companies in Brazil, have reached an agreement for the acquisition by the Brazilian company of a Comexi Offset CI8. The operation will allow Totalflex to increase the productivity of its customers, printing shorter runs combining different SKUs in the same job. It is the first central drum offset printer that Comexi installs in Brazil.

"We want to offer innovation and productivity to our customers, as well as sustainable printing thanks to EB (Electron Beam) inks", explains Clodoaldo Martins Neto, executive director of Totalflex, who adds that the Brazilian company seeks to make a difference with the options available currently on the market and for this reason "we offer monolayer material, thinner films, higher productivity and high-quality printing that positions us as market leaders."

Neto emphasizes that one of the strengths of Comexi's central printing offset technology is that it allows SKUs of short orders to be grouped together and printed by combining several designs in one run. «It allows us to search for customers with an extensive mix of SKUs, to offer them the combination of these in the same run. Thus, we carry out short or medium runs at the highest quality level in a very competitive way.

The commercial relationship between Comexi and Totalflex began in 2003 with the purchase by the Brazilian company of the first machines. «We had a very positive impression of Comexi and we identified a lot with them because their profile is similar to ours. Since 2001, before our first acquisition, we have already had flexographic technical support unmatched in Brazil. Thanks to Comexi we have differentiated ourselves from the competition with a quality standard never seen in our area. Together, we are building a beautiful alliance, ”says Clodoaldo Martins Neto.
