Nivea

Nivea collaborates with the Spanish company NaviLens so that their packs have unique codes in their cases, accessible through the NaviLens application, which will allow people with visual disabilities to hear all the relevant information through voice reproduction.

NaviLens technology will allow these users to learn aurally from the composition of the facial, body or male care treatment pack, to its benefits or ingredients, information that often appears in print and is not always accessible to these users, due to because the products are inside a toiletry bag or case.

These unique Navilens codes are a technological evolution of QR codes that allow them to be read with smartphones from a greater distance, without the need to focus and ultimately without the need to use precision, which allows them to be easily scanned by a visually impaired person to facilitate the purchase exercise.

NaviLens technology is currently used in the transport systems of Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Zaragoza, San Sebastián, Alicante or Murcia, displaying information in 34 languages to break any existing linguistic barrier. With this initiative, Nivea takes another step together with Navilens in the empowerment of people with visual disabilities to give them greater autonomy in unknown environments.
