In addition to the new offices, Unión Papelera is also moving into a new warehouse, built specifically for the changing needs of its business. The new warehouse is located in Martorell, a strategic location with direct access to the A-2 highway and the AP-7 highway. This location will allow a more agile service to its customers in Barcelona and the metropolitan area, who have a minimum of two daily deliveries. The location of the new warehouse will also considerably improve deliveries to the rest of Catalonia, and will allow for shortening replenishments to the rest of its warehouses in Bilbao, Madrid and Valencia.
This improvement in service translates into less waiting time for customers and a greater number of deliveries per day. In addition to being state-of-the-art facilities in terms of logistics systems, the new warehouse complies with the latest security measures, and allows Unión Papelera to be at the forefront in environmental terms, among other reasons because it has a large surface area. of solar panels and being able to depend largely on renewable energy.
The new Unión Papelera warehouse, with about 10.000m2 of surface and a considerable height, multiplies the storage capacity and is equipped with the latest technology, thus improving the management and work environment of the company's logistics team. It also has numerous docks for trailers and ramps for medium trucks or vans, which speeds up the loading and unloading of merchandise and increases the reaction capacity for urgent orders. “With the new facilities we take a very important leap in terms of service capacity and efficiency, which will allow us to further differentiate our offer to customers and be able to provide them with more value and demonstrate our commitment to the graphic sector and packaging,” comments Albert González, commercial director of Unión Papelera.
