Comexi invests one million euros in renovating its Girona and Miami CTec

comexi, a company specialized in the printing and converting industry of the flexible packaging, enters the last phase of construction of its renovated Girona and Miam technology centers (CTec)i. The company has invested one million euros in the remodeling of the two centers in order to offer better services to its customers.

The company, which is present in more than 100 countries on five continents, has its own production centers in Girona and Brazil and commercial offices in the United States and Russia. In the last quarter of 2021, the two new CTec designed under parameters of sustainability and energy consumption will come into operation.

El Manel Xifra Boada Technology Center, Comexi CTec, Girona It is integrated into the brand's production center and has a multipurpose space of 2500 square meters for innovation and development of R&D projects, training, consulting, demonstrations and an industrial laboratory. It will have 9 state-of-the-art machines, a pioneering prepress area where leading companies in the sector such as ESKO, DuPont and Asahi collaborate, as well as a space for offset plate engraving. The CTec of Girona will be a reflection of the corporate sustainability and industry 4.0 project marked as one of the main objectives of the company.

Also in October, but in Miami (Florida), Comexi North America's CTec It will start its activity with the installation of a laminator and a cutter, which will be followed by a flexo IC next year. The technology center, which consists of 1000 square meters, will become a multipurpose space for training, research and industrial demonstration, consolidating itself as a benchmark for flexible packaging in the North American market.

Comexi's presence in the United States will be reinforced with new offices and a spare parts warehouse and a logistics investment of more than one million US dollars.

Comexi CTec started its activities in June 2010 in Girona with an Advanced flexo course for clients from the Middle East.

The new Comexi Technology Center will show the most advanced tools in the digitization of processes and workflows of jobs for printing and converting.

The Girona and Miami CTec have a staff of 18 members who are in charge of the execution of the different services of the technology center, as well as the development of these new spaces.
