comexi has inaugurated its Girona Technology Center (CTec), with a multipurpose space of 2.500 square meters for innovation and development of R&D projects, training, consulting, demonstrations and an industrial laboratory.
The company, which is present in more than 100 countries on five continents and has its own production centers in Girona and Brazil and commercial offices in the United States and Russia, has inaugurated its new CTec Girona under parameters of sustainability and energy consumption.
The new Manel Xifra Boada Technology Center in Girona It will have 9 state-of-the-art machines, for the flexible packaging sector, and a pioneering prepress area where leading companies in the sector such as ESKO, DuPont and Asahi collaborate for the engraving of offset plates. The Girona CTec will be the reflection of the corporate project of sustainability and industry 4.0 marked as one of the main objectives of the company.
With this inauguration, the first phase of development closes, which will be complemented with new extensions in the next two years.
Comexi CTec started its activities in June 2010 in Girona with an Advanced flexo course for clients from the Middle East. The technology center was born with the same objective that it maintains today, transferring knowledge to Comexi clients. From the beginning, Comexi CTec offers advice of different types and technologies and face-to-face training, personalized at the client's headquarters, and online. Over time it has also incorporated customer support at the level of industrial testing, R + D and support for innovation.
The new Comexi Technology Center shows the most advanced tools for digitizing processes and workflows for printing and converting into flexible packaging. One of these tools is Comexi Cloud, a digital platform that provides solutions to customers to improve the performance of their plant by analyzing production data in real time, allowing them to build and develop smart factories.
