The Barcelona Design Week, from June 2 to 14, and the Barcelona Design Festival, from June 2 to July 10, are taking place in Barcelona with a great success of attendees.
Barcelona Design Week, an international event organized by BCD, celebrates its 9th edition with Israel as the guest country and a program of more than 70 activities that gives content to the first half of the Barcelona Design Festival (BDF). The BDF includes, in addition to the Barcelona Design Week, a second epicenter of activity, the FADfest, from June 25 to July 10, organized by the FAD.
Under the slogan 'Design is here!', And with a program that includes more than 70 activities, the 9th edition of BDW delves into the relationship between design and entrepreneurship; promotes the exchange of knowledge and business opportunities between companies and professionals, and brings design closer to the general public, projecting the Barcelona brand in the world linked to concepts such as creativity, design, innovation and entrepreneurship.
On June 25, the FADfest will take over from the Week to start a fortnight full of awards, conferences, debates, gatherings and many other activities related to design. A showcase to discover the best proposals of the year in architecture, interior design, graphic design, advertising, industrial design, crafts, art and fashion, in short, a festival of all design. Among the numerous activities, the exhibition "The best design of the year" will be inaugurated, where more than 500 finalists and winners of the FAD awards in the different design disciplines will be seen.
Barcelona Design Week and FADfest have the support of the Culture, Knowledge, Creativity and Innovation area of the Barcelona City Council. This is the first edition in which BCD and FAD, organizing entities of these two events respectively, are installed in the Disseny Hub Barcelona building.
