has been celebrated andl I National Meeting of Pharmaceutical Marketing in the facilities of Maculart Group, in Cerdanyola del Vallès, on April 14 and 15. The company, specialized in services for the pharmaceutical sector, hosted the first event on trends in the pharmacy and parapharmacy market, with the participation of representatives from firms such as Grifols, Delfort Group, Xerox and the TEB cooperative, among others. 

During the event, issues such as virtual vision applied to the monitoring of the production and packaging process, different types of packaging with a serial number and medicine cases and caps with integrated anti-counterfeiting security measures were addressed.

Sílvia Solé, Immunohematology & Immunology Division Manager of Grifols Diagnostics, pointed out that the laboratories are already working on different measures for maximum control in product traceability. Through irreproducible codes by counterfeiting organizations, both in the dropper caps, as well as in blisters and packaging. For his part, Juan Manuel Valdés, Account Manager FMD Specialist Spain at Domino Printing Sciences, highlighted the importance of correct serialization, especially in this type of medical device and its adaptation to the different regulations.

The future of pharmaceutical printing it goes through a series of changes that, although technology would allow them to advance at dizzying rates, the rigorous regulations and security by which laboratories and related companies must be governed slow down drastic changes.

Throughout the two days, the attendees (among which there were more than 30 from important pharmaceutical laboratories, such as Menarini, Ferrer, Rubió, Bioiberica, Grifols, Recipharm, Calier, Labiana and Idifarma) participated in conversations with experts on packaging , serialization and materials that add value to the pharmaceutical product.
