iberchem presents VernovaCaps, your new biodegradable fragrance encapsulation technology. Vernovacaps represents the second biodegradable fragrance encapsulation technology on the market. It is also the only one with a biodegradability that corresponds to the OECD standards of readily biodegradable (more than 60% in 28 days) with an increase in subsequent degradation. The first variant of Vernovacaps is intended for softeners, but over time it will be extended to other product ranges, such as the personal care.
Vernovacaps is an addition to the sustainable fragrance proposals of Iberchem's Green Future line, available to customers around the world. The new fragrance technology not only offers a high level of biodegradability, but is also made from a minimum of 60% bio-based materials. Vernovacaps complies with the legislation proposed by the ECHA (European Chemicals Agency) for 2022 on microplastics and the ban on non-biodegradable microplastics for 2027.
