Happening Study has carried out the packaging redesign for the Inés Rosales oil cakes of sweet flavors (original, orange and cinnamon), without sugar and salty.

Inés Rosales oil cakes are a traditional product with over a hundred years of history. This simple but emblematic sweet from Seville is known throughout the world and has passed from father to son spontaneously.

The perception of a flavor is not only associated with the intrinsic characteristics of the product but also with the impressions and memories that the packaging is capable of arousing. In this sense, taking advantage of the redesign of the packaging —the transparent film was going to be replaced by an opaque one—, Happening Estudio thought it pertinent to go back to the origins to recover the style of the first waxed paper, a composition of letters and graphics that they modernized and accompanied with the image of the cake, which should be seen in its entirety in its original size.

To achieve this, they made a double package, each one showed half a cake and joining them the complete cake. They respected the main color, blue, which together with white transports us to the classic sweet shops. It also allowed them to reinforce the image of the Mediterranean diet along with motifs from the Sevillian tiles that decorate Andalusian houses.

The main objective in the design of this cake packaging was to get as far away from industrial standardization as possible and get closer to the identity that the consumer recognizes in Inés Rosales, an avant-garde product that preserves and cares for the value of tradition.
