Prad interprets the Lalique codes on perfume bottles and candles

June 1th, 2021

Lalique entrusted to Prad, a French company specialized in decoration of glass and aluminum containers recyclable, the decoration 'made in France' of two of its jars of fragrance Noir Premier Collection -Or Intemporel & Illusion Captive- and Amethyst Exquise, as well as the jars of the Candles Voyage de Parfumeur Collection: La Nuit Nairobi-Kenya and Noir Premier-Plume Blanche.

The three perfume bottles are unique for their metallic luster, obtained thanks to liquid metallization, a technology that provides a total or partial metallic appearance, a multitude of metallic shades and endless options for transparency and color tones. It has been developed in a specific and dust-free line thanks to an environmentally friendly process.

Laser chiseled engravings add relief and play of light. They are enhanced by hot stamping on the jars of Amethyst exquise e Captive Illusion and the silkscreen on that of Or Timeless. The complexity is linked to the regularity of the metallization depending on the flat or raised surfaces, the precision of the laser cuts that preserve the metallic purple, black and gold colors, in particular for the Illusion Captive bottle, which is laser engraved on its entire surface.

In the candles, the jar of Noir Premier-Plume Blanche it has been metallized in shiny gold before being screen printed; that of The Night Nairobi-Kenya it was metallic black, before being hot stamped. The challenge is to perfectly protect the edge and obtain a flawless frusto-conical screen print, thanks to a digital marking process.
