Salinas Packaging Group

Salinas Packaging Group has formalized the acquisition of the production unit of Arteos Digital SL Folding Case

The incorporation was formalized on Wednesday, January 31 and represents a new step in its restructuring and investment plan that is expected to be completed throughout 2024. This acquisition reinforces the productive capacity of Salinas which, in turn, adds the experience of Arteos to its assets. Based in Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid) and specialized in on and off line communication services, Arteos consists of three branches of activity, with the Estuchería Plegable production unit being the one dedicated exclusively to packaging.

In the words of company spokespersons, “we face this new acquisition with total fidelity to the three fundamental pillars of our corporate culture: effectiveness, sustainability and profitability, understanding that the benefits obtained from applying these three principles occur in a double direction, towards the company itself and towards its main interest groups: workers, clients and suppliers.”

The scope 'in figures' of this new acquisition

With this integration, Salinas Packaging Group opens to a new product category, the folding case, a highly demanded area that will allow access to markets as relevant as pharmaceuticals or food, among many others. Through this action, the important technical and commercial know-how that the purchase of the Arteos production unit adds to Salinas' extensive experience in the luxury packaging sector.

The newly acquired business unit is equipped with all the production processes necessary for the production of folding cases: Offet-UVI printing, die-cutting machines, laminating machines and folding machines. Likewise, its comprehensive management system includes ISO9001, ISO 14001, FSC and PEFC certifications.

With the signing of this operation, Salinas Packaging Group adds more than fifty qualified people to its team, 3.000m2 of productive surface to the 35.000 already existing and €6M of billing to their accounts. In this way, it is estimated that the group's turnover will be around 50 million by the end of 2024.

A demand-driven growth strategy

In 2020, Salinas Packaging Group undertook its ambitious restructuring and investment plan which, after three years of operations, is scheduled to conclude during 2024. The acquisition of the Arteos SL production area largely responds to the demand for new services by its client portfolio and it is expected, thanks to this, achieve new strategic objectives:

  • Offer a '360 service' that ensures the quality and stability of campaigns at a color and quality level.
  • Expand its frontiers in terms of possibilities for formats and finishes, which add to its experience and current production capacity in both square and round rigid formats.

Another objective achieved with this new acquisition is the creation of a productive triangle of great strategic relevance. The new Madrid plant, with its great human team, joins the existing ones in Barcelona and Alicante and thus covers one of the most relevant geographical areas in Spain.
