The winners of the Arcapack Award are revealed

El Arcapack Award consolidates its leadership in number of registered works, in support of the sector and in dissemination capacity. The Arcapack jury has recognized 10 works as the best in packaging design of Spain in the year 2023.

The nature of the jury Arcapack Award , made up exclusively of members designated by the 17 main professional organizations and specialized media in the sector, without any member of Verdictas, makes it the profession as a whole that grants the award and not a particular association or media.

The origin of the registered works are design studios, agencies and producers of packaging for large wineries, leading brands in the beer sector, reference laboratories in the cosmetics sector, leaders in the coffee and chocolate market, food companies and largest distribution companies.

The winning works of Arcapack Gold obtain a direct passport to participate free of charge in the International Latin American Packaging Design Award Latampack 2023.

Enoloca Beer – by Mínima Compañía for Bodegas Monje

A craft beer brewed in a winery is something very atypical. “We take all that particularity, freshness and irreverence and transfer it to the packaging. A kraft paper wrapper that provides naturalness, geometric figures that function as a facial expression and a very manual finish. “This is how we present this beer to an audience accustomed to Bodegas Monje (Canary Islands) surprising with its proposals.”

Create Brotalic dishes – by Verality studio for Brotalic

Redesign of packaging of the entire range of products of the company Brotalic, a startup of fresh micro-sprouts grown vertically in a controlled and pesticide-free environment, in Molins de Rey (Barcelona). The main idea for the design is the minimalist style of the brand transferred to the packaging but adding differentiating and disruptive elements to the pure minimal style, thus combining illustrations of the product (variety of buds) with a predominance of color to differentiate the different varieties and thus achieve a dynamic and whimsical design. The color range comes from the different colors of the same product.

Mucilage, the purity of cocoa – by TSMGO – The show must go on

The challenge for Kankel Cacao was to obtain a pure bean-to-bar cocoa bar, which was entirely composed of cocoa from the cottony white pulp that covers the cocoa seeds: The mucilage. A food that is increasingly valued by prestigious chefs and whose acidic flavor provokes intense and passionate taste reactions. For us, the consumer understood what we were proposing at a first glance: We found the solution by abstracting and synthesizing every accessory element, pointing to the essence and rawness of the cocoa pod itself. It is unusual to see mucilage in this way, so we place it in the foreground as the absolute protagonist of the packaging. Self-explanatory, it is understood without the need for any speech

Toskani Box – Night Reverse – by Alzamora Group

The box designed for Toskani was conceived as a premium case in which quality and visibility would stand out and reaffirm the brand and product image. The client was looking for a uniform container, where joints and cuts were completely hidden and integrated. The result is a box adaptable to different sizes and product formats conceived in two pieces of cardboard as the only material. A geometric and minimalist structure, with great personality, with an interior that exudes elegance and exclusivity. On a structural level, the Toskani case is composed of a box that slides smoothly upwards to reveal an interior, with the same finish, where the The product remains suspended in the air in an interior structure that protects it.

Belle, a radiant and accessible facial care range – by Bombaiworks for Eroski

Moisturizing, firming, cell regenerating, serums, eye contour... A complete range to meet the needs of each skin type. “We knew that we had tough competition on the cosmetics shelves, and we needed to create an attractive image to gain visibility and trust on the shelves. To create the visual identity, we opted for a technical approach, aimed at women who appreciate natural values ​​to maintain healthy skin, as well as the use of recycled materials; without giving up color and contrast of textures.” The result: a radiant and 'tactile' category that gains visibility and trust at the point of sale.

Hi Ibiza by Heineken – by Ovelar

Limited edition Heineken for the famous Hi Ibiza nightclub. The beer that thinks green forgets its usual bright emerald and dresses in Ibiza for a summer that doesn't want to be like the others. The four unique designs for the 2022 special edition are reminiscent of the multicolored air of the island, the energy that flows... greens, blues, reds. In addition, for labeling, the sleeve was chosen for this premium edition since it allows the entire bottle to be covered with vibrant colors, 360º of creativity and information about the brand and the club.

Sewfil – The Thread that unites – by Caleta Studio

A packaging line was created for the range of Sewfil, Sewfil Home and Sewfil Eco products capable of defining the close character of a small-medium-sized company in Murcia and thus establishing an emotional link with its customers. An illustrated double-sided packaging where connects the front face with the back face. They represent the client through a sewing machine on the front side and Sewfil on the back side, with the hand holding the thread with which the client creates. For production, Favini's Regit Cotton White range of paper was used, a sustainable paper made from wool and cotton textile waste; Its use helps to emphasize and unify the packaging with the product. Organic soap pack – by Aidearte Design Studio for Terai

The briefing asked to design two types of packaging and the naming, for a future line of natural solid soaps. Under the premises of environmental respect and the 3 Rs of the circular economy, they designed this line of primary and secondary packs. Primary pack: one-piece structural die design, self-assembling without adhesives Secondary pack: reusable ecological cork soap dish. Printing with monochromatic water-based inks and ecological paper suitable for food contact, it is ideal for use with natural soaps.

ARCAPACK Award for the best “ArcaProx” packaging designed by a student. Fernanda Sáenz by Loli Liébana & Lorena Leciñana 

This new comprehensive packaging design for the Dellasero ice cream parlor is based on encapsulating and archiving memories. Fernanda Sáenz's creations are more than just a delicious dessert, they evoke memories and places through their flavors and aromas. Summer Walk, Chocobosque, Fig Tree Shadow… are some of the names of her ice creams. Therefore everything revolves around filing and categorization. All elements have a terrazzo texture that unifies them and relates the entire range. This is inspired by the texture of old folders and filing cabinets made up of pieces of different colors. It also has another function, relating the packaging to the Dellasero store since its floors and walls are covered with said terrazzo. 

ARCAPACK Award for the best packaging in the Miscellaneous, Packaging not included in the other categories. Fire Extinguisher Monster – by Ovelar for Phogos, design by Squembri

Monster, one of Phogos' decorative fire extinguishers. The magic of the sleeve, (its perfect retraction, its colors and its 360º) in this type of product is in turning a fire extinguisher into another element of decoration, a work of art, integrated into any area of ​​the home or even vehicle, which allows much faster action in the event of a fire outbreak. This model is groundbreaking, with a lot of color and fun, it becomes the “terror of flames” a 2Kg fire extinguisher, which can be located in any area of ​​a home, children's bedroom, study or play room, kitchen...
