UPM Specialty Papers now offers a compostable solution for paper-based food stickersl. UPM LabelCoatTM and UPM LabelCoatTM Prime label face papers are certified as industrially (EN13432:2000) and household compostable (NFT51-800:2015), helping brands meet the requirements of the proposed Packaging and Packaging Regulation. packaging waste (PPWR) of the EU.
PPWR aims to ensure that all packaging in the EU is reusable or recyclable by 2030. It also sets out requirements that sticker labels attached to fruit and vegetables must be compostable under industrially controlled conditions.
