EcoVadis has recognized UPM with a platinum score based on the company's sustainability performance in the following four categories: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Only one percent of the 100.000 global companies assessed received platinum. UPM's score of 87/100 was one of the highest in the Pulp, Paper and Board Manufacturing industry.

EcoVadis evaluates the performance of companies operating globally in more than 200 purchasing categories and in more than 175 countries.
