The conditions for the pilot test and for the ordinary procedure have been exactly the same and the Murcian company, specialized in the manufacture of flexible plastic bags and packaging, has achieved the seal in the three-star category.

This seal is a certification mark registered at EU level that ANAIP has developed to recognize the work of companies in the sector that strive to maintain their production in Spain, reduce their environmental footprint and improve their economic and social impact on their environment. .

The brand has been designed by a working group - made up of ANAIP staff and professionals from the sector - that has met periodically over the last year to establish the economic, social and environmental criteria that companies must meet to obtain the seal, which It has a vocation for reliability, rigor and reference. The result of their work is a document that functions as a checklist and serves to facilitate the path towards sustainability for interested companies. These criteria are organized in a table divided between the environmental and socioeconomic areas. Each criterion includes a series of parameters whose compliance is demonstrated with the delivery of certain evidence. An internal ANAIP evaluation committee verifies the evidence, determines which seal category corresponds to the company (one star, two stars, three stars or excellence) and will follow up.

“We are delighted to be the first company to obtain the Spanish and Sustainable Plastics Industry seal from ANAIP after the pilot phase,” he explains. Juan Pedro Hernández, general director of Walki Plasbel. “I am proud to be part of the plastics industry in Spain, which demonstrates its commitment to the circular economy and sustainability.
