Photo: Dr. David Schmedding, Head of EMEA at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen. More than 150 people gathered at the Heidelberg facilities in Cornellà on October 18 to celebrate that in 2023 it will be 60 years since Hans G. Hartmann founded Maquinaria de Artes Gráficas Hartmann, today Heidelberg Spain.
The event was attended by prominent members of the printing press, most of the associations and guilds of the sector and more than one hundred managers of the printing industry from all over Spain - Levante, Central zone, North, Galicia, southern zone and Catalonia -, who represented more than 80 companies. They also had partners, distributors and collaborators who streamline those procedures that require a high degree of specialization, in addition to the more than 100 people who, from their homes or offices, followed the live streaming broadcast of the entire day.
The event lasted almost 6 hours, in a story that traveled from the past to the future of our company through talks, presentations and round tables. Members of the management of Heidelberg Druckmachinen, such as David Schmedding, Head of EMEA, and Claudia Jung, Head of Digital Ecosystems, developed key themes to understand where our market is going.
Roland Krapp, the new general director of Heidelberg Spain, welcomed and Jose Luís Gutierrez, Joaquín Solana, Javier de Quadras and Gunnar Vogt They participated, as former general directors, in an interesting round table.
Francesc Xavier Mena, professor at ESADE, offered a global vision of our economic environment and Wolfgang Hartman, president of the Board of Directors of Bauer Types, SL., together with Vivian Hartmann, general director of BauerTypes, SL., explained why typography has so much value in our society and is not just a simple cultural asset of the past.
The day closed with a round table in which Heidelberg product specialists participated: Ignacio Baquero, Sheetfed Business Driver, Angel Grutzmann, Post Business Driver, Jaime de Diego, Business Driver of Digital Ecosystem, Xavier Clariana, Lifecycle Business Driver, David Rodriguez as Service Manager and Roland Krapp as general director.
