Fedrigoni acquires Ritrama

November 4th 2019

Fedrigoni SpA, Italian and European leader in the production of special papers and high added value products for packaging and Self-adhesive labels, has signed an agreement to acquire the group Ritrama, an Italian multinational group specialized in self-adhesive products.
Ritrama has production plants in Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Chile and China. The Rink family, the founder of Ritrama, will retain ownership and continue to manage Ritrama's North American operations, while continuing their business partnership with the rest of the Group.
This acquisition, the second since the purchase of Fedrigoni by Bain Capital, reinforces Fedrigoni's position as one of the main players in the European market for self-adhesive labels, in which it operates through brands Arconvert and Manter. The acquisition combines Fedrigoni's excellence in the production of wine labels (for which Fedrigoni is the second largest producer in the world), and in the production of labels for the food, home and logistics markets, with Ritrama's advanced self-adhesive technologies, which is one of the world's leading producers of labels for the pharmaceutical, beverage and personal care markets.
