The Spanish natural cosmetics firm Freshly cosmetics presents a new filling system for its products: Freshly Refill.
Since 2020, the company already had a product refill service in its ten Freshly Stores and since then it has already reduced more than 7.000 packages and saved nearly 2 tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere. After a long R&D process, this new refill system goes further. Thanks to a cardboard container that contains more than 75% of vegetable fibers —and which, once used, can be deposited in the blue container— it offers a refilling service. With this simple action, the carbon footprint can be reduced by 92%, compared to glass containers.
Currently, 96% of Freshly Cosmetics containers are already made of aluminum and glass, materials with great durability. For the refill system, a 100% recyclable cardboard packaging.
For the moment, six Freshly products will have their refill version: the Golden Radiance Body Oil, the Rose Quartz Facial Cleanser, the Azelaic Radiance Face Treatment, the Hair Radiance Keratin Spray, the Hyaluronic Energy Body Serum and the Hair Growth and Density Treatment will be the first, but not the last, since the team will continue working to be able to pack more references in this system. For now, the next ones will be the Blue Radiance Enzymatic Serum and the Vitamin C Concentrate Serum, which will be released in the coming weeks.
A refill is equivalent to a complete container and the use is very easy: cut, pour and that's it. In addition, it will not be necessary to wash the old container and the refill system contains a few more milliliters so as not to lose any product. Once the process is finished, the refill container is 100% recyclable and must be deposited in the blue container.
Freshly Refill products are now available at ten physical stores of the company and in the websites.
