Covinas has been present in the Barcelona Wine Week and in the Sample of Artisan and Quality Sausage from Requena.
The winery showed the wines and cavas of the range Auditorium, which is a tribute to all those winegrowers who have forged a legacy that is the economic engine of this region.
He also presented his emblematic jumpsuit, whose historical character makes it one of the first wines bottled under the quality seal of the Denomination of Origin Utiel Requena (DOPUR). The winery has taken advantage of the restyling to expand its range of Enterizo cavas, which can now be enjoyed, in addition to the classic Enterizo Brut and Enterizo Brut Nature, the Enterizo Semi Dry, Enterizo Brut Rosé and Enterizo Reserva Brut Nature.
In the words of the general director of Coviñas, Jorge Srougi, “in Coviñas, we do want to be prophets in our land. Respect for origin and value the work of our 3.000 members is our reason for being. This occasion allows us to accompany the local gastronomy, supporting an ancient tradition of making artisan sausages typical of Requena and claiming the quality of the local product.”
The Coviñas Group has been recognized this year as The Best Cooperative Winery in the World by the German company that organizes the most important wine competitions worldwide, the DWM Wine Trophy, on which the Berliner Wein Trophy, Portugal Wein Trophy and Asian Wein Trophy. This wine group was born in Requena in the 60s after the union of wine growers from 10 cooperatives in the area. Currently, it holds a leadership position in the Utiel-Requena PDO, where it brings together more than 3.000 families around a common project, wine, and owns more than 41% of the vineyard, attached to the UR PDO.
